It's no secret that sex feels good… but did you know getting laid is actually good for your health too?

A study carried out by Anglia Ruskin University and published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior journal surveyed 5,700 men and women aged 50 and older.
The study found that stopping sex or having sex infrequently could increase risk of serious illness in men by more than TWO-THIRDS. That’s 66%. That’s a lot.
Women who were having sex infrequently became 64% more likely to report a decline in health.
Again, that’s a high percentage.
That’s a pretty solid set of numbers telling us to keep at it as we age!
Some of the details were troubling.
Men who had a decline in sex drive were thought to be 63% more likely to be diagnosed with cancer. The study found that 41% had increased chances of developing a serious or chronic illness.
As if we needed more reasons to keep having sex, the study found that men whose libido remained high and who had sex frequently at age 50 and above had only a 15% chance of developing illnesses like diabetes or arthritis.
What If It’s Been “A While” Since You’ve Gotten Any?
The reality is, a dry spell is not something to be afraid of.
But a permanent drought? Yeah, that’s not so good.
Some of my older guy friends have told me they thought it was all over. I encouraged them to reconsider and to reconnect with their wives/girlfriends/hookup partners.
Turns out that a reasonable amount of effort put into the relationship reignited the sex drive they thought they had lost.
But more than saving their sex lives, these men could be literally saving their lives.
I think there is a lot of mythology and misconception around sex and aging.
I have watched so many people in my life grow older and come to believe that sex doesn’t belong in their life anymore.
I’ve watched far too many men and women turn their backs on sex, thinking they are “too old.”
But guess what?
There is no such thing as too old! The only thing stopping anyone from having sex with their partner is going to be mental or emotional.
Our bodies are FULLY capable of exercising and having sex WELL into old age.
