The benefits of this wonder supplement likely come from phosphatidylcholine, or PC for short, which researchers believe is responsible for many of lecithin’s health benefits.

The Science of Lecithin And Semen…

In a research paper published on 10.1186/1476-511X-11-3">Bio-Med Central in 2012, scientists explained exactly how dietary phospholipids such as lecithin impact your body:
Phospholipids (PLs) are amphiphilic lipids found in all plant and animal cell membranes, arranged as lipid bilayers (Figure 1). The PLs found in most cell membranes are basically glycerophospholipids (GPLs), which consist of fatty acids (FAs) esterified to a glycerol backbone, a phosphate group and a hydrophilic residue (e.g. choline, resulting in phosphatidylcholine or lecithin).”
In other words, phospholipids such as lecithin are found in all plant and animal cell membranes, meaning they’re absolutely essential to sustaining life.
Funny enough, semen is primarily comprised of phospholipids, too. This explains why taking a lecithin supplement can help naturally increase the size of your loads.
In a research paper entitled “The Biochemistry of Semen,” Dr. T. Mann explains that roughly 70% of semen is made up of a thin fluid comprised of phosphatase and other lipids.
To put it simply, roughly 70% of your sperm is made from lipids, just like the lipids found in lecithin supplements, like sunflower lecithin or soybean lecithin.
